4. HISTORY OF A PRODUCT

Hello everyone, my name is Marta and I will tell you today a little story of Converse shoes.
First, I will tell you why I have chosen that this topic. Later, I will make a summary of the story where there will be the origin of the brand, the evolution and more. And finally, I will make a small conclusion.
So start!
I chose this topic because in the book there was a small piece of history. I thought it would be interesting to extend it and find new things.
Converse is an athletic shoe company of the U.S.A. This company was created by Marquis Mills Converse. This gave rise to its name. They had many buyers because shoes were simple.
These shoes were spread all over the world thanks to Chuck Taylor, celebrity of the time. For this reason, has created the star of the shoes. As it was this famous model. At this time, people called the All Star brand. Thanks to the players of the NBA, the shoes left behind classic colors for coloring.
Converse became popular among the 70s and 80s. But shortly afterwards, had competence brands, for example Nike. And in 2003, Converse was sold to this company.
In conclusion, just say that Converse was well received, but was absorbed for their competence.

I hope you liked it and thank you!

Did you look up information/facts/ideas in the internet/ books..? (Specify)    I extract the information from books and internet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Converse_(shoe_company))

Was your information more superficial or more detailed and original?  I think it was quite superficial

Did you check your grammar?(verbs, word order...) Yes

Did you use rich/new vocabulary looking up the dictionary? (synonyms/new words/
expressions..) No

Did you use sentence linkers?(and, but, moreover, also, furthermore, although, how-ever...) And, because, but, just, for this reason, at this time

Did you speed in a fluid continuum or with breaks and interruptions?  I think I went too fast. This made me put more nervous and therefore hindered my pronunciation and the ability to hear with clarity

You are your teacher! What mark did you get? I think it's one of the best presentations I've done this for years. But still, I get 4. Because I was too nervous and also I block.

I'LL IMPROVE FOR THE NEXT ORAL:
1. Have more confidence in myself
2. Preperar it more time and patience (in front of the mirror)
3. Greatly improve pronunciation
